2008 Blanchard Family Reunion

On July 26, 2008, the Blanchards gathered at Uncle Charles and Aunt Terri's house for the Blanchard Family Reunion. Many relatives came in for the event. Some of whom I have not seen in a long time. I spent some time with Yvette, Ashley, & Joseph on our way in from the airport. I had a good time. The party was also fun. We celebrated Uncle Charles, Erin, and Hayden's Birthday's as well.

Gatlinburg Vacation March 2008

This past March, Sharon, Morgan, Siara, Victoria, and I took a 7 day vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Sharon's Nanny Sandra and her Boyfriend Ray also joined us as well as Sharon's friend Nikki, with her Husband Barry and daugther Hunter. We stayed in a beautiful cabin that also allowed us all to split the cost and save alot of money. We enjoyed shopping in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The highlights were gem mining, a dinner at TGI Fridays, the Jurasic Park exhibit(very over rated), viewing of live bears at a gift shop(nasty and sad), the girls got airbrush tattoos, bought some Gatlinburg hoodies, moccasins, socks and other miscellaneous things. We went to play Hillbilly golf (it was freezing). Victoria, Sharon, Hunter, and I went through an illusion house. We went horseback riding through some mountain streams and over a few mountains. We heard a wild turkey and saw a deer during the ride. It snowed, so we had snowball fights and ate the snow. The dogs looked like they had dandruff from the snow (especially shadow who has black fur). The girls enjoyed the pool table and Pac-man arcade game that was in the cabin. Our crawfish boil was successful and everyone enjoyed the crawfish. The wax museum was probably a highlight of the trip. Everyone was very excited to take pictures with celebrities. Old time photos were alot of fun. The sky lift was fun, but very expensive to just take you to the top of a mountain. We went on a driving trip through the Smokey Mountains. Cades Cove was pretty and we saw alot of deer. It was snowing during the trip and we saw a waterfall on the way which was very cool. Victoria loved picking up iciles off of the mountains. When we reached the top of the mountain, there was snow everywhere on the ground, so we played around for a while. Victoria and I saw a couple of chipmunks. We also went hiking with the dogs along a stream where we saw several wild turkeys along the road. Overall, a very good time and something that we look forward to doing again.
